Wine Paradise is less a single apartment than a small family compound: the restaurant does proper Croatian lunches and dinners with outdoor seating, and the playground next to it means parents can eat while children stay in view. The rooms themselves are simple, air-conditioned, with garden views and private bathrooms rather than showpiece interiors, which fits a place built around the restaurant and grounds rather than the bedroom. Free private parking removes the usual small-town parking hunt, and Maksimir Park and Zagreb Cathedral are both a manageable drive away, with Zagreb Zoo about 14 miles off. With over a hundred reviews behind it, this is one of the better-tested stays in the area.
