The pet-friendly policy is a real bonus for owners who'd otherwise have to choose between a wellness stay and their animal. Travellers wanting to be inside central Vrbovec itself, on foot from the heritage grounds, should look elsewhere, since Hotel Sport sits in neighbouring Ivanić-Grad rather than Vrbovec proper.

Why guests love itWe stayed two nights mainly for the pools and ended up spending more time in the hot tub than either one, a good sign after a day walking around the Ivanić-Grad museum. Room service on the second night meant not leaving the pool floor at all, a small indulgence I hadn't planned on. The pet-friendly policy meant our dog didn't need a separate arrangement, which after some stricter hotels elsewhere in Croatia felt genuinely easy.
